Facts

Close your eyes.

Imagine that all that you think you know is not what you think it is.

You are a perfect, brown Arkansas diamond.

You can pass your hand right through that wall. You can walk up a tree. You can fly without wings above a sea filled with sharks and orcas. You don't need those glasses. You can hear a pin drop from a mile away.

When you whistle you sound like a mockingbird. You find it easy to play a guitar. You run faster than a leopard. Grass tastes like chocolate to you. You can communicate with mushrooms. You understand what your pets are saying. You can bend your body into a pretzel shape. You can tie a cherry stem into a balloon animal with your tongue. You built an exact replica of the Taj Mahal in your backyard over the weekend.

But, no matter what, you cannot go back and fix anything you messed up once upon a time.

It is rarely as simple as "I" messed up - nor can much be fixed unless all parties to a mess see and bear their share of the responsibility. Sometimes, a situation is not to be "fixed" - and if it is, it will become something new, not a return to the past as it was. I suspect we tend to forget that, very often.

What was is done. The question is where it takes us. Regret is pointless.

I loved it. A great piece inspiring hope while acknowledging the thing we need to let go of, the past we wish we could change.
