Water revisited

A gentle humming emits from this pond; it seems to vibrate as I approach.
Even I brim with water.

Frogs grumble in agreement: eeaaahhh—they croak—eeaaahhh
while the sinking sun slips towards sleep.

Wary deer riffs a wild dressage, crackling autumn's detritus,
unsure of me—if I'm there or where.

She stomps a cautious passepied punctuated by huffs and snorts,
in four-direction demonstration.

Frogs pick up where they left off, eaahhhh! Birds loll in the listing light.
A fish smacks the surface for one last snack.

O, me. I came here to cry but forgot.

This places me with such verbal precision at this pond—your syllables make short steps and sharp turns! The onomatopoeia is playful but chosen carefully. The situation is described peacefully and with a tinge of optimism. Great piece!
